In Bleach: Soul Society RPG, there are still some other characters that exist even not being a Shinigami.
Character Races[]
- Shinigami (death god): Shinigami are souls that possess inner power and like other spiritual beings, they cannot be detected by normal Humans. Once a soul discovers that he/she has spiritual power, he/she may train and join in the Gotei 13.
- Souls (konpaku): Souls are spiritual beings that reside in Soul Society. Souls are forbidden to enter Seireitei where the Shinigami and Gotei 13 reside and many usually live in Rukongai. Souls are also known as deceased Humans from the Human World, but some are born within Soul Society as well.
- Hollows (horō): Hollows are evil ghosts who reside in Hueco Mundo but travel to the living world to feed on the souls of the living and dead alike. Like Shinigami and Souls, Hollows are also spiritual beings that cannot be detected by Humans.
- Inner Hollows: Hollows that are usually born from a Hollowfication process, people belonging to the Visored race possess one and they commonly represent the dark side of a Shinigami's soul. The Visored also draw powers from their Inner Hollow and should be able to control their Inner Hollow. Inner Hollows usually reside in a Visored's inner world.
- Visored (vaizādo): Visored is a group of Shinigami who have obtained Hollow powers through "illegal" means, gaining removable masks and access to certain Hollow abilities.
- Gikon (Artificial Souls): They are souls designed by the Shinigami Research and Development Institute to separate a Shinigami's spirit from a Gigai, should they be inhabiting one, or to evict stubborn spirits from their corpses if necessary.
- Modified Souls (kaizō konpaku): or Modsouls, are artificial souls invented to enhance regular human physiology, making them capable of battling Hollows equally. Modsouls are rare in Soul Society.
- Zanpakutō Spirits: A Zanpakutō Spirit is a spiritual being like Shinigami, Hollow, Souls, etc. that is born directly to a Shinigami's soul. They are the manifested spirit of a Zanpakutō.
- Archangels: Like the name suggests, Archangels mostly appear as the "Angel form" of a Shinigami but they are not known in Soul Society. The only known Archangel is Leo The Light.
